1. Three ways to extrude
1.1 Extrusion type (also known as pressurized or full type) The inner die selected for this extrusion method is generally flat, and the pressurized outer die generally has a 2~5MM gallery section. This extrusion method The distance between the inner and outer die eyes is relatively far, and the extruded wire has tight adhesion and smooth appearance. It is suitable for external extrusion of some SVT, SJT, H05VV, etc. In addition, most of the core wires are extruded by extrusion.
1.2 Semi-extrusion tube type (semi-pressurized or semi-empty tube type) The inner die selected for this extrusion method is a tube (usually 3MM-5MM) and the outer die is a common type. If the distance between the inner die mouth and the outer die mouth is only about 1~2MM, if the distance is too far, the wire will also be extruded into a solid shape. This extrusion has the advantages of good peelability, uniform thickness and soft wire. , etc. with braided or other shielded wires.
1.3 Extrusion tube type, (empty tube type extrusion) The inner die that can be selected for this extrusion method is tubular (the length of the tube is generally 5~10MM), and the outer die is an ordinary type without pressure, but the size of the outer die is relatively large. (Generally, it is 1.2~1.5 times larger than the finished OD of the wire.) The inner die generally extends out of the outer die or is flush with the outer die. The advantages of this extrusion method are that the wire is soft and the thickness is very uniform. Below) and high frequency wire extrusion, such as, UL1394, HDMI, UTP, more than 5 types of wire.
2. Extrusion Die Matching Skills:
The inner eye dies used for core wire extrusion have a great relationship with the conductor diameter (single or twisted) and conductor structure
2.1 SR-PVC material: the eye die is as large as the diameter of the core wire. For PVC type, the eye die is about 0.1MM larger than the diameter of the wire;
2.2 HD-PE material: The eye die can be 0.1~0.3 larger than the diameter of the wire.
2.3 LD-PE material: The eye die is usually about 0.05~0.2 larger than the wire diameter.
2.4 PP material: The eye die is about 0.1~0.4 larger than the wire diameter, so that the line speed can be opened to more than 400m/min, and the quality is very good. If the eye die is about 0.1 larger than the wire diameter, the same can be produced, but the line speed is very slow , only about 120m/min.
2.5 PE-Foam material: The eye die is about 0.4~1.5 smaller than the diameter of the wire, depending on the size of the line of sight and the degree of foaming. The general wire diameter is below 1.1, the eye die is about 0.4 smaller than the wire diameter, the wire diameter is 1.6, the eye die is 1.05, the wire diameter is above 3.0, the eye die is about 0.8~1.5 smaller than the wire diameter.
2.6 FR-PE (flame-resistant PE) material: The eye die is 0.1~0.2 smaller than the wire diameter, and the wire diameter of this kind of wire is generally relatively small (about 1.0 or so).
2.7 Polyester DuPont material: The eye die is about 2.0 larger than the wire diameter (this kind of wire is relatively small, for example, the wire diameter is 2.0, the eye die is 3.0, extrusion tube extrusion, traditional machine head production).
2.8 For the insulated core wire extruded by extruding tube, the inner eye die should have a mouth, and the outer die should be about 1.0~1.3 larger than the wire diameter. For the core wire insulated with PP material, the eye die should be about 2.0 larger.
Determination of the inner sheath extrusion die: This process generally adopts extrusion or half-pipe extrusion.
2.9 For direct cabling and wires with aluminum foil, paper tape wrapping or drag wrapping, the inner eye die is about 0.2~0.4 larger than the wire diameter, which is determined by the size of the cable diameter. Just take a larger one; the outer die is generally about 0.2~0.3 larger than the wire diameter.
2.10 For the winding wire, the inner eye die is about 0.2~0.4 larger than the wire diameter. For the single-core obliquely wrapped wire, the inner eye die is 0.15~0.3 larger than the wire diameter. 0.4 or so; the outer eye die is generally 0.2~0.3 larger than the wire diameter.
2.11 For the braided wire, the inner eye die is about 0.3~0.5 larger than the wire diameter (single core wire can be about 0.2MM larger), and the outer die is 0.2~0.3MM larger.
2.12 For longitudinally wrapped aluminum foil or paper tape, the inner die is about 0.3~0.5 larger than the wire diameter, and the outer die is 0.2~0.3 larger.
